Beijing-Ulaan Baatar. To reach Ulaan Baatar or Manzhouli from Moscow it
takes about 6 to seven days. Valid passports and certificates are required
for Hong Kong and Macao by the fellow citizens returning to their native
place.
By Road
China has constructed a total of 1.18 million km of highways with excellent
passenger services, frequent flowing of high-grade, fast -running vehicles,
and easy check-ins. There are frequent bus services normally run along the
side lanes at an average speed of 100 km per hours in a streamlined fashion.
Transportation in the city
Taxi’s and local buses are the most convenient means of transportation
for sightseeing in almost all the main cities of China. Normally the fairs
are quire reasonable, ranging from one to two yuan per km.
Getting around in the city on the pedi-cabs, hutongs and back alleys is a
life time experience for its visitor.
Waterways
China’s vast maritime territory encompasses the Bohai, Yellow and East
China seas in the east and the South China Sea in the south. The country’s
long and winding coastline is clustered with extensive and deep harbors such
as those in Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Yantai, Qingdao, Qinhuangdao,
Dalian, Beihai, and Hong Kong.
Maritime Shipping Lines-- A luxury passenger ship and cargo liner operated
by the Sino-Japanese International Ferry Company, sails once a week from
Shanghai to Japan’s Kobe, Osaka and Yokohama. It normally takes 45
hours in a one-way trip.
The Yanjing is a passenger liner, shuttles once a week between Tianjin and
Kobe. The Daren passenger and cargo liner sails twice a week between Dalian
Daren. Similarly there are many other water passages that operates through
the coastal areas of China to other countries.
